Silver Earrings Portugal Tile Azulejos Portuguese Blue FRAMED - PORTO and Alcobaça (see Facade photos- abandoned house) - Gift Boxed 814a

$25.00

The city of Porto dates back to the 4th century. n 1387, this city was the scene for the marriage of João I and Philippa of Lancaster, daughter of John of Gaunt, symbolizing the long-standing military alliance between Portugal and England, the world's oldest military alliance.
Porto boasts a two-level iron bridge – Dom Luís I (designed by the Belgian engineer Téophile Seyrig, from 1868 until 1879 the partner Gustave Eiffel), and a railway bridge – Maria Pia, designed by Eiffel in association with Seyrig, were constructed, as well as the central railway station (São Bento, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Europe, ornamented with lavish painted tiles)

These tiles are located on the facade of a very, very old building in downtown Porto. (see actual Facade photos) The other house is abandoned in Alcobaça. Such a shame!

The tiles are 2cm square. Embellished with lovely glass beads. Silver ear wire and components. The earrings will come in a gift box. Reversible.

All my tiles are replicas made of polymer clay where the image actually becomes part of the clay through baking. No glue is used in the process. The pieces become waterproof and scratch resistant. Due to the handmade and hand shaped nature of each tile, slight variations will occur, as no two pieces are alike.
