Established in 1290, Coimbra's University is one of the oldest in Europe.
The city lies on a hill with it's cobblestone streets and winding roads. In this wonderful city, the university students wear black capes and you can still find women washing their clothes in the river.
The tiles are located on the facades of very, very old buildings and homes throughout Portugal. To my dismay, many old buildings have fallen in disrepair and this is an attempt to preserve a little of the patrimony of Portugal before it's too late.
This listing is for a set of 8 canvases. They measure 25 x 25 cm or 10" x 10" EACH. They are photo transfers (not decoupage) and have a distinct distressed look.
