These are replicas of antique stamps from 1944. They were part of the 3rd Philatelist Exposition and they cost 1 Escudo. They were displayed in the Sala Portugal of the Geographical Society of Lisbon between May 20 to 30, 1944.
They portray a "postilhao" or a horseman in charge of delivering messages. They also have a Portuguese Shield in the right corner. Designed by Alberto Souza.
17mm square. Cufflinks come with a Gift Box.
All my tiles are replicas made of polymer clay where the image actually becomes part of the clay through baking. No glue is used in the process. The pieces become waterproof and scratch resistant. Due to the handmade and hand shaped nature of each tile, slight variations will occur, as no two pieces are alike.
